THE PROBLEMS

Here some of the larger "mistakes" that these sites make shall be pointed out. This is the part of the site that highlights, some of the most offensive, unprofessional, and/or just plain dumb content on all of the sites.

Oct 23rd, 2000:

On this date, the following pole was on the DNC website:

In your opinion, which promise will George W. Bush have to break, his promise to today's workers to take $1 trillion out of Social Security for private accounts, or his promise to give that the same $1 trillion to today's seniors?

His $1 trillion promise for private accounts
His $1 trillion promise to seniors

It doesn't ask the readers if they think he will break it etc. it just assumes we will all go along. Even if the main idea here has a point, this sarcastic and decidedly unprofessional method should not be the way to get it across.

On the same date, the RNC website had its own sarcastic poll:

Which of the three debates was the worst for Al Gore?
A. 1st Debate -- Podiums
B. 2nd Debate -- Round Table
C. 3rd Debate -- Town Hall

Again, it doesn't ask who won the debates, why someone did good or bad, it is just a mere slap at the opponents. In short, it is in no way meaningful.

http://www.democrats.org/contact/watch.html -" The election is getting close and the Republicans are getting desperate -- we need your help to keep an eye on our opponents' activity. If you receive any suspicious or misleading mail, e-mail or phone calls, fill out this form so we can expose their dirty tricks. If you think you smell a rat, let us know." This sounds more appropriate for a World War II, "watch for spies" poster than a political campaign.
